Manningtree Station Buffet

After a horrendous journey getting to Manningtree, it was a welcome pit stop to kill time waiting for my next train. Had a lovely Toasted bacon & egg sandwich with a free cup of coffee. Great service and price.

Always grab a filter coffee from here in the morning when going into London. Their breakfast rolls are also great. Especially the bacon ones. Some of the best bacon I’ve tasted and a generous portion too

Only had beer so can't comment on the food but one of my fave places to pop I'm for a beer I this area , my wife says they serve the best oat Latte on earth so there you go. Right on the platform so very handy . Still one of my fave bars in this area . Still fantastic

What’s not to like here. There are few few station platform buffets left these days where you can also get a beer. The Manningtree offering has a good selection of beer and a couple of local ales on too (4.50 for a pint of ale at time of writing). Butties were advertised at 4 including a hot drink which seemed great value, although I didn’t indulge. You can’t knock being able to finish a pint and step onto your train within seconds. The staff were friendly too and there are outside seats if it’s a nice day where you can watch the trains. Worth waiting until the next train just to stop by. Perfect to step onto the train when it arrives too!
